Our inaugural product Fastvue for TMG has now been in beta for a few weeks and we are humbled to have already received such a great response from the Forefront TMG community. Thank you to everyone that has downloaded and put Fastvue for TMG through its paces!
We’ve also been very busy responding to the issues being reported, and have been releasing new builds on our website as fixes become available.
If you downloaded the very first build of Fastvue for TMG, you may have had some issues getting set up. We’ve since fixed all of these hiccups, and the latest build is available on our download page.
Here are some of the more critical issues we’ve fixed:
- Installer now correctly sets the AppPool framework version to .Net v2.0. If you received a Server Error (503) when browsing to the Dashboard, this was the cause.
- Arbiter Settings application no longer crashes on start with an InvalidCastException. This only affected the settings application. The Arbiter service itself still ran successfully.
- Fixed an issue where the dashboard service would fail to start if an import issue had been previously encountered.
More Beta Testers Needed
Fastvue for TMG is now running in a wide variety of environments from test labs, corporate networks, school districts, to data centers of managed service providers.
